St. John's during winter is brutal! I expected this, but I still get cold just looking back at the photos. Most of the locals I met were also kind of puzzled as to why I'd come over during such a cold time of the year. Nonetheless, the people were pleasant, the bars were cozy and the air was crisp and clean, what more could you want?
I arrived to St. John's at like 2am so I was not able to see much of the city flying in. So it was nice to wake up to a winter wonderland. The weather was pleasant through most of my stay and I was able to get around by walking for the most part. The bus system is free during off season. I'm told St. John's gets busy May - July when the weather is better and the whales are outside the backyard.
